our historyWhen I first time came across with Samrook Bamford Yspadadan, I was sold. For life. He is one good looking stallion. So I almost bribed his owner to let him meet my mare, Dwynwen. This girl is no special case in anyway, actually, but I'm hoping her personality will pass on to her foal.
So the days went by and I was anxious as the due date came closer. I knew the foal would be breath taking by looks, but it was only couple of weeks after Emris was born, when we all saw how gentle this colt was. He was easy to work with from the day one and always so eager to learn new things and to be around humans, other foals and ponies. He grew up day by day to be this beautiful and clever stallion he is today. I could not have picked a more suitable stallion for my dear Dwynwen. |
about this stallionEmris is our little Houdini. We haven't found a knot, this stallion couldn't get untied. Generally Emris is sweet and gently, but he is damn smart. So if you don't tie him up properly or forget to double check the lock on his stall door, you might see him running around the estate by morning.
When working with this beautiful fudge coloured horse, he is more like a go-ahead than lazy. He likes to be involved with just about anything and sometimes it might be a problem. High and good paces are advantage when struggling through dressage and other shows. When his in the pasture with other stallions, he's more of a follower than a leader. Although he's smart and can cope on his own, he's still very social with the others. Working with him at the arena is a piece of cake, but if you're planning a forest trip, you might take someone with you. |

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME, BOY - 02.01.2019
It was like any other morning. Except that when I closed the front door and looked at the stables direction, I saw Emris trying to reach one branch of the oldest and tallest oaks that grows at our grounds. I tried to remember who did the last work shift last night and was supposed to check all the locks. This time I'd have to blame myself.
I walked up to Emris, rubbed his neck and tried to understand his ways. I didn't. Still don't. "Why are you doing this to me, boy, why?" I jokingly asked him. Big brown eyes looked up to me and I couldn't help but laugh. This young man had stolen my heart the day he was born. And I still haven't gotten it back.
