our historyI remember the day like it was yesterday. Sun was setting down and Cadwy was restless as Hell. She was ready to let us see her baby. And as quickly it all begun as fast it was over. Wet and dark little baby colt was laying beside his mom. Cadwy would make a perfect mother. And so she did.
She tought everything she new to her son and also that humans are the only creature you need to take orders from. Cadwy gave him the best possible start to adulthood. My friend Marc came to see Prothro when he was ready to start learnin big boy stuff. Marc is the best man you can think of when it's time to teach the young one new stuff about riding and carriage driving. And this boy learnt fast, incredibly quick for a young stallion. But here we are now. Prothro is so wise and co-operative with everyone he's working with and we are proud to say, that he's our boy. |
about this stallionGenerally Prothro is kind and co-operative stallion with strong mind. So he can be a little stubborn. You need to show him from the start who's in charge. He's not doing it to be mean or disrespectful. He needs to know, that he can trust you in every situation.
This guy hates standing still for too long. While riding, you need to be awake the whole time or he get's to be the boss and you'll be a passenger. Long paces and airy movements gets you from A to B quicker than you think. Besides he has a slight fear of whips. So it's safer to all to leave the optional equipment out. After remembering all that, he's a real sweetheart and lovely to work with. Brushing and other care taking runs smoothly every time. He lifts his hooves without an any argument against you and he loves to get belly rubs. He has thick mane and tail, so they need to be sorted out preferably every day with a comb. Otherwise it'll be just one big mess the next day. |
pedigree
father's sideHARMIR is graceful dark stallion from Northern England. Breeder hoped him to be the next champion in carriage driving and he had all the skills and talent for that, but unfortunately at the age of seven his leg was shattered in an accident and driving career was forgotten.
GWYNNE is lovable cuddly-buddy. Always has been, always will be. This mare doesn't want anything bad to happen to anyone and sometimes she won't even shoo the flies off of her sides. Former dressage-pony didn't have what it took to be the next champion. She was too stressed out at the competitions, so they decided to give her a break from it. |
